ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 29 -- Two Sigma Investments, New York, has been assigned a patent (8,738,487) developed by five co-inventors for an "apparatus and method for processing data." The co-inventors are Edward Schmidt, New York, Dan Cioaca, New York, Alexander D. Stein, Bedford Hills, New York, Nyla H. Ibrahim, West Nyack, New York, and Matthew Jacobus, Brooklyn, New York.
