Teracore Wins DHS Small Business Award

HERNDON, Va.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Teracore, Inc. (Teracore), a management consulting and enterprise IT consulting services firm serving federal national security agencies, announced today that it received the 2014 Department of Homeland Security (DHS) Small Business Achievement award for its outstanding work in support of the DHS mission. Specifically, Teracore was honored for its exceptional performance supporting the Federal Emergency Management Agency’s (FEMA) Individual and Community Preparedness Division (ICPD).

ICPD’s mission is to increase individual, family, organizational, and community preparedness and resiliency. In support of Presidential Policy Directive – 8: National Preparedness, ICPD leads America’s PrepareAthon!. This campaign is FEMA’s newest and largest disaster preparedness action-based effort to promote whole community preparedness before disaster strikes. Teracore developed and implemented the America’s PrepareAthon! strategy including the tools, resources, collateral materials, and website plan. Teracore also implemented a high profile media launch incorporating social media promotion which attracted national media attention.
