General Motors Assigned Patent for Telematics Device Interface

ALEXANDRIA, Va., May 28 -- General Motors, Detroit, has been assigned a patent (8,731,627) developed by two co-inventors for a method of "using a smart phone as a telematics device interface." The co-inventors are Tarun Inabathuni, Detroit, and Maria A. Frendberg, Clarkston, Michigan.
