ARARATBANK Announced New Issue of Foreign Currency Denominated Bonds

Yerevan, Armenia, 2014-05-30 08:27 CEST (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- On May 26, 2014 at a press conference held at NASDAQ OMX Armenia ARARATBANK announced the 8th issue of coupon bonds of the Company. Mr. David Haruthunyan, Deputy CEO, ARARATBANK, presented results of previous 7 issues of corporate bonds, noting that two issues of USD denominated bonds were enjoying high demand in the market, thus the new issue of corporate bonds is also offered in USD. At present turnover of ARARATBANK’s corporate bonds in the secondary market exceeds AMD 100 mln in local currency bonds and USD 1.22 mln in USD bonds. ARARATBANK issued 40,000 coupon bonds with nominal value of USD 25, annual yield of 8% and maturity of 4 years. Coupon payments will be made quarterly. Placement of the bonds will take place from May 31 till June 20, 2014 through subscribtion. Any individual or legal entity can purchase these bonds by referring to ARARATBANK’s headquarters or branches. Mr. Haruthunyan noted that the bonds will be listed at NASDAQ OMX Armenia, will have market-maker to ensure their liquidity in the market and will be allowed for conclusion of REPO agreements. According to Mr. Haruthunyan investors will be able to sell their bonds at any time and get back not only the invested funds, but also accumulated interest. ARARATBANK also plans two buyback periods of the bonds, during which investors can sell their bonds back to the Company.
