THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR PROPOSAL OR BIDS AND NO CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED AS A RESULT OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT. The proposed procurement will be a single award Firm Fixed Priced (FFP) Contract for Cisco Maintenance Support and Quantum Tap Library Maintenance Support. The Period of Performance for the Cisco Maintenance will be 8/1/2014 through 7/31/2015; and the Period of Performance for the Quantum Tape Library will be 9/9/2014 through 9/8/2015. The Government plans to procure these services as Commercial Item as defined in FAR 2.101. NESDIS is the agency responsible for the operation of the NOAA geostationary and polar orbiting meteorological satellites. The Office of Satellite Data Processing and Distribution (OSDPD) provides a wide array of operational products and operates various computer and communications systems on a 24-hour, seven days a week schedule.

This procurement is for continued hardware support of Cisco equipment. This support is necessary to cover all hardware and software issues related to Cisco devices within the NOAA Satellite Operations Facility (NSOF). Support will allow NSOF to get replacement parts and vendor support on break/fix issues that extend beyond the realm of the on-site staff support.

The Quantum tape support is needed to continue hardware and software support of the NSOF and Wallops OSPO tape back-up system of user-level information specifically contained in the back-up of system documentation including security related documentation.

A Request for Proposal (RFP) will be issued in the Assisted Acquisition Services Business System (AASBS) (formerly ITSS); therefore, you must be registered in the AASBS to be considered an award. If you are interested in receiving the RFP, please email the point of contact (POC) for your company listed in AASBS to Cassandra.walker@ gsa.gov to be added to the vendor list.
