Actiontec's ScreenBeam Pro Garners COMPUTEX 2014 Best Choice Golden Award

May 29, 2014

Actiontec Electronics won the COMPUTEX Best Choice Golden Award for its ScreenBeam Pro Wireless Display Kit.

According to a release from the Company, the ScreenBeam makes it easy to unleash content from the small screen to the big screen, by wirelessly mirroring or extending any compatible laptop, tablet, or smartphone screen to an HDTV or projector.

The COMPUTEX Best Choice awards are based on three judging standards: functionality, innovation, and market potential. More than 400 products from 183 manufacturers competed for the prizes this year. Only eight products, including Actiontec's ScreenBeam Pro, received the Golden Award.

ScreenBeam Pro enables real-time second screen interaction between a mobile device (laptop, tablet, smartphone, gaming platform) and a TV or other display.

The wireless display kit supports up to full 1080p HD video and HD audio, allowing users to enjoy the convenience of wireless display without compromising their HD experience. ScreenBeam Pro users can view anything including pictures and videos from a smartphone on a big screen HDTV, share their laptop screen with the conference room projector, and watch live Internet content and videos on a living room television.

"We are incredibly honored to be recognized by the Taipei Computer Association for our leading Miracast wireless display technology," said Dean Chang, Actiontec's CEO. "Wireless display gives people the freedom to move their entertainment, gaming, and productivity content from mobile devices to their screen of choice. We are committed to bringing the convenience of wireless display to as many devices and environments as possible."

Actiontec Electronics is a company focusing on developing broadband-powered solutions that connect people to the Internet and applications.
