VuCOMP said that it has installed M-Vu Computer-Aided Detection (CAD) for mammography at Mon General Hospital in Morgantown, West Virginia.

According to a company release, VuCOMP's CAD system is designed to help radiologists find breast cancer earlier. Mon General Hospital will use the technology with its Fischer Giotto Imaging System and Fuji CR mammography systems.

Dr. Joe Migaiolo, Medical Director of Radiology, said, "We are pleased to have this highly advanced CAD imaging technology to better serve women in the community who deserve the very best diagnostic breast care possible. We expect this to be very helpful to our radiologists in their efficiency and effectiveness."

VuCOMP President Jim Pike said, "Our team here is very excited that this technology is having an impact for women in forward thinking institutions like Mon General Hospital and others globally. We're consistently expanding the installed base of M-Vu-CAD, and it's gratifying to achieve this level of clinical validation and demand so soon after the debut of this product."
