May 27, 2014

Economic Impact Gathering Sponsored by 21stAustria & Advantage Austria

NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- The 2014 Austrian Investor and Business Conference will take place in New York City on June 17th, focusing on Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) and with a special look at the economic impact of the turmoil in Ukraine. The conference is hosted by 21st Austria and Advantage Austria. Panel members will include representatives from the leading economic think tank in the region, the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies, as well as senior executives from leading Austrian companies, the Austrian Central Bank and the Vienna Stock Exchange.

“Central and Eastern Europe faces the most challenging time since the fall of the Iron Curtain 25 years ago. At the same time, many experts are predicting CEE growth rates above the European average for this year. We will come to New York City to inform and discuss the issues and opportunities in the region,” said Claus J. Raidl, spokesperson for 21stAustria and president of the Austrian Central Bank.

“Austria’s traditionally strong ties to the CEE, a high level of corporate investment, plus deep institutional expertise and business intelligence provide the framework for these meetings,” added Christian Kesberg, the Austrian Trade Commissioner for the United States.

Roundtable discussions will include representatives from leading companies AMAG, AT&S, Immofinanz, Verbund and RaiffeisenbankInternational. Economists from the Vienna Institute for International Economic Studies and the Vienna Stock Exchange will lead the panels and be available for one-on-one meetings.

The conference is free, but confirmed registration is required as space is limited. For more information and registration go to
