Five institutions conduct research in nanotechnologies in Kyrgyzstan

Research in the sphere of nanotechnologies is conducted at 5 institutions in Kyrgyzstan. This information came from the meeting of the Council for Nanotechnologies Development on May 27 under chairmanship of Vice Prime Minister Valery Dil.

These institutions include Kyrgyz National University, Kyrgyz-Russian Slavic University, Kyrgyz State Medical Academy. Kyrgyz State University of Construction, Transport and Architecture, National Academy of Sciences.

Nanotechnology researches are conducted in the sphere of medicine and engineering.

Experts at the meeting complained about lack of public funds provided for development of nanotechnologies. Scholars have to travel abroad to conduct researches. "This is a big restriction. It is necessary to conduct one center for nanotechnologies research," they said.
