BRIEF: Summer Arts Academy is planned in August

May 27--Two weeks of creative learning are planned Aug. 5 through 14 at the Kaddatz Gallery in Fergus Falls.

The program is open to all children.

Offerings include:

--First -- fourth grade, 10 a.m.- noon: Students will work with various mediums and techniques to develop basic art skills and explore creative expression.

Fifth grade and up, 1-3 p.m.: drawing and painting with Jacqueline Ness-Ludwig. Students will focus on developing skills in 2-D art, and move through sketching to a full canvas.

Special guest artist Brad Wegscheid will provide Raku demonstration for both groups.

Registration fee is $150 per child.

All classes will take place at the Kaddatz Gallery except the Raku demonstration, which isn't determined yet.

A limited number of full and partial scholarships are available.
