WB Wants to Support the National Development Plan for 2013-2017

The World Bank (WB ) plans to make available to Angolaone billion dollars to support the National Development Plan for 2013-2017, said Monday , in Luanda , the WB operations director for Angola , Gregor Binkert.

According to Gregor Binkert, who was speaking to the workshop on "Financing infrastructure, agriculture and livestock," co - organized by the National Agency for Private Investment (ANIP) and the World Bank, the amount will be invested in various infrastructures with emphasis on education, health and agriculture, either family-linked, or commercial.

"The World Bank has decided, through the International Bank for Reconstruction and Development, to support Angola for being the African country that is growing considerably in recent years," he explained.

The manager considered essential to support Angola in implementing the National Development Plan for 2013-2017 because the country needs more infer -structure to improve the living quality of their populations.

"We want, in the coming months, analyze and see what are the priorities and mechanisms that we provide the resources of the World Bank and use the money as collateral that can leverage more financing to the private sector," he stressed.
