Huawei has announced a new smartphone for their mid-range family. It is the Honor 3X Pro, the follow-up to last year's Honor 3X.

The Honor 3X Pro packs these specs under its pretty big frame:

5.5-inch full HD 1080p display

MediaTek MT6592 1.7GHz octa-core chip

16GB internal storage memory

13MP rear camera

5MP front-facing camera

DTS sound

3,000mAh battery

Comparing it to the Honor 3X, it seems that the newer model has only undergone upgrade in the screen resolution aspect with everything else remains the same. On the outside, the Honor 3X Pro phablet features the textured faux leather similar to the Samsung Galaxy Note 3 on the back.

The Honor 3X Pro retails for RMB 1,698 that translates to around RM875. It is said to be released on June 5 but is unknown for which markets yet. Considering the Honor 3C did very well here when it was released a couple of weeks ago, it wouldn't be a surprise to see the Honor 3X Pro debuting on our shore in the very near future.
