Arts picks, May 25-31

May 24--"Blog Reblog." Gallery hours: Noon to 6 p.m. Tuesdays-Saturdays Exhibit continues through June 7. Big Medium at Canopy, 916 Springdale Road. Free.

Curators Max Marshall and Paul Paper selected two groups of 100 photographers who were then randomly paired and given the task of selecting one image from each other's online portfolio. Exhibited in tandem, the paired photographs cleverly probe the way images are so rapidly circulated in social media culture, raising questions about authenticity, context and crediting online.

Austin Center for Photography presents this program, and the exhibit is ACP's second to final event; the nonprofit organization announced earlier this spring that it would cease operations later this summer.


"Gold Show Rose Show." Heloise Gold and Julie Nathanielsz reprise their program of critically acclaimed solo modern dance works along with work by Margery Segal, Elaine Dove, Jason Phelps, Maija Hynninen and Keith Manlove. 8 p.m. Thursday-Saturday, 2 p.m.June 1. Galaxy Studio, 1700 S. Lamar Blvd.$18-$35.


"Bethany." Theatre en Bloc presents Laura Mark's dark contemporary comedy thriller about a couple of strangers who end up living in a house that's not their own. 8 p.m. Thursdays-Sundays, 3 p.m. Saturday, June 1 and June 7. Continues through June 7. Rollins Studio Theatre, Long Center, 701 W. Riverside Dr.$15-$35.
