Midnight Special

-- Friday, Saturday at Ho Sports Bar: The Ho Sports Bar is hosting country and rock band Jacked Up at 9:30 p.m. Cost: Free. Info: (701) 772-7000.

Sit Kitty Sit

-- Friday at El Roco: San Francisco duo Sit Kitty Sit will perform at 10 p.m. at El Roco. The show is to celebrate the release of their latest album "Everlasting Fire," in which each song is inspired by one of the circles of hell from Dante's "Inferno." Info: (701) 772-2631.

'Art of Man' Exhibit

-- Through Saturday at Campbell Library: The East Grand Forks Campbell Library has opened its spring exhibit, "Art of Man," featuring local artists in various media. Cost: Free. Info: (218) 773-9121.

'Selected Works by HonorÉ Daumier' Exhibit

-- Through Saturday at Empire: The UND Art Collections Gallery is holding a French exhibition at the Empire Arts Center featuring works by HonorÉ Daumier, an important French artist who specialized in lithography. His satirical art often addressed political and social issues of the day. The pieces are displayed with lithographs by regional artists Samuel Schultz and Joel Jonientz, to whom the exhibition is dedicated. Cost: Free. Info: (701) 777-5529.

'Forever Plaid'

-- Tuesday through Thursday at Northland Theater: The Thief River Falls Area Community Theater is performing "Forever Plaid" at 7 p.m. in the theater at Northland Community and Technical College. This popular musical tells the story of four young male singers killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert. They are miraculously revived for the posthumous chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was. 'The Full Monty'

-- Wednesday through May 31 at Empire: The Greater Grand Forks Community Theatre presents "The Full Monty" at 7:30 p.m. A story with more nudity than heart, this musical is about six unemployed steelworkers who decide to present a strip act at a local club after seeing their wives' enthusiasm for the Chippendales. Additional 7:30 p.m. showings: June 4-7. Cost: $20 for adults; $17 for seniors, students and military with I.D. Info: (701) 777-4090.

Daniel O'Donnell

-- Thursday at Chester Fritz: Irish crooner and star of 13 PBS national TV specials, Daniel O'Donnell is stopping in Grand Forks for a special performance at the Chester Fritz Auditorium at 7 p.m. Exuding the same passion and sense of humor that has captivated audiences for years, O'Donnell sings, dances and charms his way into the audience's hearts with a mix of country, pop hits and fan favorites. Jazz Series

Mollie Douthit Exhibit

-- Through May 31 at Third Street Gallery: Pieces by Grand Forks native Mollie Douthit are currently on display as part of an exhibit at the Third Street Gallery, 310 Kittson Ave., Grand Forks. She has been featured in the 2013 MFA edition of New American Paintings, the Museum of Fine Arts, the Royal Dublin Society Student Art Awards exhibition and more. Cost: Free. Info: (701) 757-3333.

Mini Art Exhibit

-- Through June 4 at Crookston Public Library: The Northwest Regional Arts Council is holding a mini art exhibit that will travel to several regional libraries throughout the summer and fall. The exhibit includes original paintings, photography, drawings, pottery and more. The exhibit starts at the Crookston Public Library, 110 N. Ash St., through June 4 before moving on.
