"They have given statements and detectives will use those statements to further the investigation," he said.
The investigation is still ongoing and more arrests, suspects and victims may be discovered later, he said.
"There's no telling what it will develop into," he said.
Detectives discovered the operation after a victim came forward, Lewis said.
"They were trying to help one victim," he said. "They were trying to trace it back to see where they were, how this started, how did this person get their information."

Residents who believe they are victims of identity theft should call local law enforcement.
