Montreal's Interior Design community celebrates the inauguration of the first showroom of its kind in Canada as Index Design launches its highly anticipated annual guide

MOUNT-ROYAL, QC, May 23, 2014 /CNW Telbec/ - Montreal Lighting & Hardware's new showroom was officially opened yesterday, as 500 of Quebec's top Interior Designers gathered to celebrate the launch of Index Design's 300 Addresses to Design and Renovate Guide. Built to support designers and their customers, the high-tech showroom is also open to the public.

« We are thrilled with the response we have been getting from the design trade, in regards to the showroom, the online platform and our Professionals + Designers Program, » says Fred Naimer, who co-founded Montreal Lighting & Hardware.

« Montreal Lighting & Hardware is a transparent way of buying lighting and hardware; instead of hiding behind a complex pricing structure, every item, online and in store, is sold at the lowest Canadian Landed Price. Canadian shoppers don't need yesterday's lighting stores, so we built a new one, using new technologies, a transparent pricing model and a platform specially built for design professionals. It was time to Rethink Lighting. »

The showroom comprises a fully functional condo – called the experience room, which also doubles as a training centre – where all the newest lighting technologies such as home automation and luxury lighting products are displayed. It also offers working spaces, and certified lighting professionals are available to help designers, who will be able to sign up for the Professionals + Designers Program.
