12th in NAIA golf

Former Oktaha golfer Kailey Campbell is in a tie for 12th place after a 3-over 75 on Wednesday in the NAIA Women's Championship tournament at

Campbell is at 9-over 153 as a member of Oklahoma City University's squad, which stands second, three shots behind Savannah (Ga.) College of Art and Design. Teammate Elia Folch is at 147, one shot behind tournament leader Daniel Martinez of Northwood (Texas).

Ex-Rougher in

NAIA track finals

Former Muskogee High trackster Xandrea Maxwell is among seven Bacone athletes who will compete in the NAIA Track and Field Championships starting today in Gulf Shores, Ala.

Maxwell is competing in the 100-meter dash and 200 meters. She's had top times of 11.87 and 24.84, respectively.

Jarvis Allen and Malcolm Chinn will compete in the long jump. Allen will also compete in the triple jump and with Chinn is part of a mix of six who all qualified in the 400 meter relay. Collin Swanagan, Xavier Cooper, Andre Barnett and Jessie Patterson. Barnett is in the 100 and Patterson is also competing in the 110 meter hurdles and 400 hurdles.

Maxwell's 200 try is today. The 100 is Friday.
