Acadian Joie de Vivre Will Shine in Clare

CHURCH POINT, NOVA SCOTIA--(Marketwired - May 22, 2014) - Department of Canadian Heritage

The Government of Canada has provided $25,000 in funding through the Canada Arts Presentation Fund to support programming offered in 2014-2015 by the Festival acadien de Clare.

Greg Kerr, Member of Parliament (West Nova), made the announcement today on behalf of the Honourable Shelly Glover, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Official Languages.

The Festival acadien de Clare will take place in the St. Mary's Bay area from July 26 to August 3. In addition, it will present a show in celebration of National Acadian Day on August 15, 2014. The festival includes musical performances for all ages, as well as cabaret evenings in the Marc Lescarbot Theatre at Sainte-Anne University and in clubs and cafes such as the Rendez-vous de la Baie and Le Richelieu.
