The new additions are:
Kinard has joined the Nashville office of Subsidium Healthcare as a
Partner in the Subsidium Physician Resources Center of Excellence. He
has over 20 years of experience in the healthcare industry, most
recently at Vanguard Health Systems. Throughout his career, Mr. Kinard
has held several C-level positions in operations, M&A, and finance for
physician practice management, outpatient health care, and
EDI/transactions processing companies.
Mr. Kinard’s expertise includes significant experience in mergers and
acquisitions, financial and business operations, business planning and
strategic development, and corporate finance. In addition, Mr. Kinard
has served on management teams that have collectively raised nearly
$300M in debt and equity capital. Mr. Kinard holds a B.S. in Finance
from Florida State University and an MBA from The University of Alabama.
Backstrom has joined Subsidium Healthcare as a Partner leading our
Telehealth Center of Excellence. He is a healthcare IT consulting
executive with over 22 years of experience focused exclusively in the
healthcare industry. Jay has extensive experience in the planning and
implementation of TeleHealth / Connected Care programs, new IT-enabled
revenue programs (XaaS), advanced imaging/vendor neutral archives (VNA),
and Radiology and Cardiology IT, and other innovation technologies.
Jay is a frequent speaker at national healthcare conferences and has had
multiple articles published in the market on innovation technologies and
developing new revenue programs. Jay holds a Bachelor of Business
Administration degree in Computer Information Systems from Texas State
University. Jay played scholarship tennis in college and continues to
play competitively whenever possible.
is a Senior Manager in Subsidium Healthcare’s Telehealth Center of
Excellence. He has over 15 years of clinical, business and technology
consulting and vendor IT solutions experience. Jeff’s areas of expertise
are in the fields of TeleHealth / Connected Care, enterprise medical
imaging, Real Time Location Systems (RTLS), health IT planning, and
program and project management. He has led many critical IT projects to
health organizations including integrated delivery networks, academic
medical centers, community hospitals, children’s hospitals and the
Jeff began his career in consulting at First Consulting Group (FCG), as
a Manager in the Advanced Health Technologies practice, advising clients
in the areas of PACS / medical imaging, TeleMedicine, and health
informatics. After leaving FCG, Jeff held consulting and advisory
positions with GE Healthcare, Technology Solutions Company (TSC), and
Altarum Institute. Most recently, Jeff was the Eastern Consulting
Healthcare Services leader at EMC Consulting where he was responsible
for delivering advisory and technical services to help transform
clinical and technical environments for improved care delivery,
operational saving and agility. He holds a Master of Science in
Information and Communication Science from Ball State University and
Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Ball State University.
Rosenfield, RN has joined Subsidium Healthcare as a Senior Consultant in
the Clinical Informatics Center of Excellence. Ms. Rosenfield brings a
26-year background in the industry, most recently from Sentara Health
System in Norfolk Virginia. She is experienced both as a practicing
clinician and as an information technology professional, specializing in
physician and clinician adoption and use of advanced electronic medical
records systems. Her expertise will be invaluable to Subsidium’s
clients, “particularly those who have implemented or are planning to
implement the EPIC application suite and are now looking at the next
wave of innovative use of clinical systems,” says Rick Kramer, Partner
with Subsidium Healthcare.
Ms. Rosenfield’s range of experience also includes Telehealth, as she
was a core member of the Sentara Health PMO and proponent of enabling
clinical strategies using the MDLive platform.
