Ireland : DANSKE BANK appoints PEPPER to take over day-to-day management of IRISH mortgage and personal loans

May 21, 2014

Affecting nearly 14,000 customers, DANSKE Bank has appointed loan expert Pepper to assume routine management of its Irish mortgage and personal loans.

The Australian-owned firm, which has an Irish unit headquartered in Shannon Co Clare, will manage all of the loans, from June 16.

Danske Bank said in 2013 that it was shutting down its main retail and business bank in the Republic of Ireland.

Existing account customers have already been asked to find new banks.

The conditions of customers' mortgage and loan contracts are not impacted by the deal with Pepper, which will complelty assume customer service in relation to the affected loans and mortgages, including specialised case management.
