BRIEF: Tickets still available for Bare show this Sunday

May 21, 2014

By Brandon Roberts, The Ironton Tribune, Ohio

May 21--It will be a collective "congratulations" from his hometown when country music singer and songwriter Bobby Bare takes the stage at the Ro-Na Theater on Sunday.

Bare took his place in country music history when it was announced he would join Cowboy Jack Clement and Kenny Rogers as 2013 inductees into the Country Music Hall of Fame.

The idea is to honor Bare but the benefit is twofold.

"This show is a chance for our communities to honor Bobby Bare for his induction into the Country Music Hall of Fame," Rick Jansen, member of Friends of Ironton, said. "The money raised from concessions, etc., will be used for Ro-Na improvements."

Currently recording on Plowboy Records, Bare released his first album in seven years, "Darker Than Light," in 2012.

Tickets are still available at and will be available at the door for $20 on Sunday. Doors open at 5 p.m.
