The presentation, titled SSD Forensics, will discuss solid-state storage devices (SSD) and how they are rapidly replacing rotational media drives that have been in use for more than 50 years. The speakers will explore how technologies involved in SSDs pose new challenges to forensic practitioners, the inner workings of SSD and best practices for extracting as much information as possible during the digital forensics recovery process. The presentation will be delivered on Tuesday, May 20 from 3:30–5:00 PDT as part of the Advanced Digital Forensics Labs track.
