May bank holiday weekend: family days out and activities in the UK

As we roll towards the May bank holiday weekend, we're either going to be basking in a 'mini heatwave' if you can call 19C a heatwave or braced for Arctic chills, depending on who you read. Either way, if you haven't yet come up with a plan for your long weekend with the children, we've got it covered.

Get out and explore

Spring is perhaps the most beautiful time of year to enjoy Britain's many forests, for wild flowers and abundant greenery.
