This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Solicitation number is PBGC01-RQ-14-0037 and is being issued as a Request For Quote (RFQ). The solicitation document incorporates provisions and clauses in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-69, effective 1 August 2013. This procurement is a 100% Total Small Business Set-Aside. The NAICS Code is 334112 Computer Storage Device Manufacturing. The SBA Size Standard is 1,000 effective 22 January 2014. This requirement is for Maintenance and Support Services of the ExaGrid backup systems (see Statement of Work).

Quotes shall be for a total cost of the services for the Maintenance and Support Services of the ExaGrid backup systems (see Statement of Work).

Offeror must be registered in the System For Awards Management (SAM) database before an award can be made to them. If the offeror is not registered in SAM, it may do so through the SAM website at http://www.sam.gov.

This is not Defense Priorities and Allocations System (DPAS) rated.

Questions to the Combined Synopsis shall be submitted electronically to the Contract Specialist, Les Pagano at pagano.lester@pbgc.gov not later than 14:00 am (Eastern Standard Time)5 May 2014. Answers to questions submitted shall be via Amendment to the Solicitation.

Responses shall be submitted electronically via e-mail to the Contract Specialist, Les Pagano at pagano.lester@pbgc.gov, no later than 11:00 am (Eastern Standard Time)8 May 2014.

Quotations must be valid for thirty (30) days after due date. Any amendment(s) issued to this RFQ will be published thru FedBizOpps. Therefore, it is the Offeror's responsibility to visit the FedBizOpps website frequently for updates on this procurement.
