xG Technology, a developer of wireless communications and spectrum sharing technologies, has announced that it has been awarded a telephony patent in Mexico.
In a release dated May 15, the Company said the patent, "Dynamic Pattern Elimination Based Compression Method for Text-based Signaling Protocols" (U.S.P.T.O. # 8,090,394) covers an innovation that represents an improvement in the performance and efficiency of SIP-enabled telephony networks. SIP is an elemental communications signaling protocol used in VoIP communications.
With this latest patent award, xG Technology's intellectual property portfolio now includes 60 U.S. patent matters (49 issued) and 137 international patent matters (64 issued). Internationally, Mexico comprises the largest share of patent awards, with 29 issued.
