First Atlantic Bank Embarks On Branch Expansion-Goes to Spintex Road With World Class Banking Services

First Atlantic Bank has embarked on nationwide branch expansion exercise to bring its world class banking services to the door steps of Ghanaians throughout the country.

To this end, the first in the series of the branches to be opened was rolled out at Spintex Road, a business hub in the Ledzokuku Krowor Municipal Assembly (LEKMA) of the Greater Accra Region. The Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of the Bank, Gabriel Edgal, who disclosed this at the launch noted: "We will rollout one branch in every month". Every suburb in the Accra metropolis which does not have the bank's branch will get one by the close of the year. After Accra, Takoradi, the Western regional capital, lately known as "Oil City" because of the oil production, and Tamale, the Northern regional capital, will be the bank's next port of call. Mr. Edgal said that: "we have set broad objectives to create an institution that competes effectively in the local and sub-regional financial market place in a manner that showcases the best of our collective talents". He explained that the bank was poised to champion the re-creation of the consumer finance market, leading a private/public sector partnership in supporting the acceleration of the country's economic development. Mr. Edgal added: "Our aspiration is borne out of a vision to become the bank of choice for transactions, especially within Ghana and the West African Sub-region.

This we believe is the start of our journey to becoming a global bank". He, therefore, assured customers and prospective ones that they would pursue the agenda of creating a well differentiated brand with bespoke product and service offerings delivered by a knowledgeable and well motivated staff. We will equally position the bank as a conduit for investment flows into Ghana while leading in the development of agency banking and the use of electronic and other alternative channels to promote financial inclusion, Facilitating. international trade and promoting trade within and between African countries will also feature strongly on our agenda, he added. For the many businesses on the Spintex Road and its environs, Mr. Edgal assured them that the bank was prepared to partner with them, support them with distributor finance, non-traditional exports, payments and collections as well as e-banking solutions. As he put it: "We will help facilitate the movement of your goods and services across the sub-region. First Atlantic Bank is today introducing to you the Purple Experience which is our distinctly different and unparalleled customer service experience driven by a passionate workforce and process efficiency to create value for you our customers". The Executive Director of the Bank, Daniel Addo urged the staff who would be posted to the Spintex Road branch to discharge their duties professionally saying "The success of the branch will depend on them". We are here to provide solutions and needs to solve financial problems of the businesses and individuals, he noted.
