BRIEF: Seacoast Commerce Bank chief is new chairman of 123-year-old bankers association

May 17--Rick Sanborn, president and CEO of Seacoast Commerce Bank in San Diego, has been named 2014-15 chairman of the board of directors of the California Bankers Association.

Sanborn, a 24-year veteran of the financial services industry, is a longtime member of CBA, serving on the board and executive committee the last 12 years.

"...I look forward to continuing to be an advocate and positive voice for the banking community and supporting our member banks in their dedicated efforts to serve California's communities and promote economic growth," Sanborn said.

The 123-year-oldCalifornia Bankers Association is based in Sacramento.
