Reverse Mortgage Investment Trust Inc. Confidentially Submits Registration Statement for Proposed Initial Public Offering

BLOOMFIELD, N.J.--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Reverse Mortgage Investment Trust Inc. (RMIT) today announced that it has confidentially submitted a registration statement with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) in connection with a proposed initial public offering of its common stock, which RMIT intends to conduct later this year, subject to market and other conditions, including RMIT's expected acquisition of Reverse Mortgage Funding LLC and completion by the SEC of its review process initiated by RMIT's confidential submission. The proceeds from the proposed initial public offering are intended to enable the company to continue executing its business plan to originate, acquire, service, invest in, and manage reverse mortgage loans and securities backed by reverse mortgage loans and for general corporate purposes. The number of shares to be offered, whether any selling stockholders intend to offer any shares in the offering, and the price range for the offering have not been determined.
