PBW, RALS: Big ETF Outflows

Looking at units outstanding versus one week prior within the universe of ETFs covered at ETF Channel, the biggest outflow was seen in the PowerShares WilderHill Clean Energy Portfolio (PBW), where 1,750,000 units were destroyed, or a 5.2% decrease week over week. Among the largest underlying components of PBW, in morning trading today Maxwell Tech (MXWL) is off about 3.5%, and Sunpower (SPWR) is lower by about 2.9%.

And on a percentage change basis, the ETF with the biggest outflow was the Proshares RAFI Long/Short (RALS), which lost 350,000 of its units, representing a 22.6% decline in outstanding units compared to the week prior. Among the largest underlying components of RALS, in morning trading today Activision Blizzard (ATVI) is off about 1.5%, and Advanced Micro Devices (AMD) is lower by about 0.6%.
