BRIEF: Credit card thieves sought in Clay County

May 15--The Clay County Sheriff's Office is looking for two men after credit cards were stolen May 10 from an unlocked car in the PetSmart parking lot at 1919 Wells Road and used to buy items at a nearby Target store.

The cards and the wallet they were in were stolen between 1 and 4 p.m. The victim learned they had been taken when she was notified that the cards were used at Target and several other locations.

Video surveillance from Target shows the two men walking into the store from a nearby apartment complex. One of the pair tried to make a purchase, which was declined. He returned a few minutes later and used another credit cards, which is accepted.
