NASA/NSSC has a requirement for VERICUT software, machine configuration, and training in support of NASA's various Centers systems that utilize VERICUT software and training. NASA/NSSC intends to issue a sole source contract to CGTech under the authority of FAR 6.302-1. VERICUT is a single Numerical Control (NC) data verification and optimization solution that can be used with all Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines and Computer-Aided Manufacturing (CAM) systems. The Electroimpact system requires programming and simulation software to operate and is only compatible with CGTechs VERICUT software. Electroimpact has not yet integrated their system with other software products. VERICUT is the worlds leading CNC simulation software used in all industries with all CAD/Computer-Aided Design (CAM)/Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems to simulate NC code, whether programmed manually or post-processed from your CAM system. This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 05-72. The Government intends to acquire commercial items and services using the provisions, clauses and procedures prescribed in FAR Part 12 and FAR Part 13. The NAICS Code is 511210 Software Publishers and the Small Business size standard is $35,500,000. The following clauses and provisions are applicable to this combined synopsis/solicitation: 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors; 52.212-3 Offeror Representations and CertificationsCommercial Items; 52.212-4 Contract Terms and ConditionsCommercial Items; 52-212-5 Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statutes or Executive OrdersCommercial Items Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 4:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on May 16, 2014. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government.
