Tenders are invited for Internet And Inter-Campus Network Services. INTRODUCTION Shelby County Government (the County ) is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide specific Internet and network connectivity to replace existing Internet and network in use by Shelby County. This Request for Proposal ( RFP ) is being released to invite qualified firms to prepare and submit proposals in accordance with instructions provided where one or more successful candidates will be selected and invited to enter into a contractual relationship with Shelby County for the Services outlined in this RFP. In this RFP, the terms Proposer and Contractor are used interchangeably unless the context indicates otherwise. MINIMUM PROPOSER REQUIREMENT All Proposers must: 1. Have an office or service center located within Shelby County. 2. Respond fully to one or more of the pricing schedules (See Attachment 1, Attachment 2, and Attachment 3) 3. Demonstrate to the County s satisfaction, prior to award, that it has the financial capability, resources, manpower and equipment to perform the Services effectively. 4. Provide a list of at least three (3) current clients with a similar profile to Shelby County, including contact information. 5. Meet all requirements for the performance of the Services in accordance with the provisions of this RFP. 6. For firms located within the boundaries of Shelby County have a current Shelby County Business License or be considered exempt from the license requirement by the Shelby County Clerk s Office. 7. Apply and qualify for an Equal Opportunity Compliance (EOC) certification number through our EOC Administration prior to submitting your response. 8. Adhere to all Title VI requirements and provide proof/documentation if necessary. 9. A written statement of compliance to Title VI must be provided with your response. 10. Background Shelby County Information Technology Services operates two datacenters within Shelby County, the West Datacenter located on the County s West Campus and the East Datacenter located on the East Campus. Each datacenter has an independent Internet connection, each serviced by an independent Internet Services Provider (ISP). The East and West Campuses are connected by two metro-Ethernet (metro-E) circuits, with each circuit serviced by an independent metro-E provider. This dual Internet / inter-campus connection configuration has been expanded and enhanced over the past decade to meet the increasing network demands of data, video, and voice applications. b.
