Trace One Partners with the Institute of Food Technologists Global Food Traceability Center

Organizations Join Forces to Improve Traceability Research and Training, Share Best Practices

BOSTON--(BUSINESS WIRE)-- Trace One, a global leader in private label, product lifecycle management (PLM) solutions for retailers, manufacturers and suppliers today announced its partnership with the Institute of Food Technologists (IFT) as a founding sponsor of IFT’s Global Food Traceability Center. Trace One is among 16 partners that will collaborate to improve worldwide food traceability information and standards.

The Global Food Traceability Center serves as an authoritative, scientific, and unbiased source for traceability. It develops research and best practices to help manufacturers, suppliers and retailers to enhance product, ingredient, sourcing and compliance information throughout the supply chain. This visibility will improve food safety and mitigate industry and consumer risks. Trace One will provide unique insights and expertise about the adoption of technology and cloud-based platforms that enable real-time stakeholder collaboration.

The Global Food Traceability Center is the first public-private partnership that connects all supply chain stakeholders with timely product traceability solutions. To do this, the center provides the means to implement traceability solutions across the global food system and helps increase the understanding of food traceability through research, education, and development of protocols and standards.
