Medtronic Assigned Patent for Patient Programmer

ALEXANDRIA, Va., April 30 -- Medtronic, Minneapolis, has been assigned a patent (8,712,540) developed by six co-inventors for a "patient programmer with automated MRI compatibility verification for active implantable medical device." The co-inventors are Hrishikesh Gadagkar, Plymouth, Minn., James Zimmerman, Blaine, Minn., James M. Olsen, Plymouth, Minn., Robyn L. Jagler, Eagan, Minn., Timothy R. Abraham, Lino Lakes, Minn., and Jeffrey R. Dixon, Andover, Minn.
