EMCO Announces a New Version of Its Installation Packaging Software

April 30, 2014

San Francisco, CA (PRWEB) April 30, 2014

EMCO Software, a leading provider of Windows installation packaging and repackaging solutions, has announced the availability of its EMCO MSI Package Builder 5.1 software application. The new features of the applications are designed to improve the repackaging results of complex non-silent Windows installations into silent MSI packages and to provide support of repackaging on the new Windows platforms, including Windows 8.1.

EMCO MSI Package Builder is installation packaging software that allows network administrators to convert non-silent installations into silent MSI packages. Such conversion is required to enable automatic distribution of installations that aren't designed for automatic deployment of this kind. Usually, installations require a user who deploys it selecting the installation options and customizing the installation. Using EMCO MSI Package Builder, network administrators can capture the installation and generate an MSI package that would reproduce the installation automatically without any interaction with the user.

EMCO MSI Package Builder can be used to repackage different types of installations into MSI packages, including utilities, simple applications and complex ones such as office suites and program bundles. The new version of the application improves the repackaging results of complex installations, i.e. installations that deploy different Windows system components and frameworks during the deployment process. Such installations can be successfully repackaged on all Windows platforms starting from Windows XP to the latest Windows 8.1.

"The new repackaging features introduced in the latest version of EMCO MSI Package Builder extend the limits of installation repackaging. Network administrators can now rely on EMCO MSI Package Builder even in the most complex cases to get reliable MSI packages that can be deployed remotely. This simplifies software deployment operations in enterprise network environment significantly and makes EMCO MSI Package Builder the favorite tool for network administration experts and novices," Thorarinn Oskarsson, CEO at EMCO Software, says.
