ANA group net profit plunges 56% to 18 bil. yen in FY 2013

ANA Holdings Inc. said Wednesday its group net profit in the business year ended March plunged 56.2 percent from the previous year to 18.89 billion yen, dragged down by the yen's slide that boosted fuel expenditures.

Its operating profit fell 36.4 percent to 65.99 billion yen on revenue of 1.60 trillion yen, up 7.9 percent.

For the current fiscal year that began in April, the company is expecting to post a group net profit of 35 billion yen, up 85.3 percent from the previous year, and an operating profit of 85 billion yen, up 28.8 percent, on revenue of 1.70 trillion yen, up 6.2 percent.
