Investments in Tourism Sector Considered Few

The National Agency for Private Investment (ANIP) received in 2013 five investment projects related to the tourism sector, reported on Monday in Luanda the chairperson of the Board of Directors of the referred institution, Maria LuÍsa Abrantes, considering in unsatisfactory due to the potential of the country.

"The proposals are still very unsatisfactory, taking into account the country's potentialities. None of the proposals submitted were from foreigner investors, which clearly reflects on the ignorance of our potential", she told Angop on the sidelines of the opening session of the 56th Meeting of the World Tourism Organisation Committee (UNWTO), which is running until Wednesday 30.

The 56th meeting of the World Tourism Organization Committee for Africa started on Friday 25th April, in Luanda and is focusing on issues related to financing for the development of tourism in Africa, as well as the impact of poaching in the continent.
