At SEMICON Korea, for example, Edwards will be previewing the new iXM1200 dry pump, the new global benchmark in energy efficiency, which will be available later in 2014.
Edwards is showcasing a number of products at the event, with the emphasis on low energy consumption, with a concomitant reduction in the carbon footprint and overall environmental impact.
A flagship product at this year's show is the iXM1200 / iXM1800. This iXM pump is optimised for energy-efficiency with exceptionally low power input. It also has best in class powder handling and corrosion resistance for maximum reliability and extended pump life. The iXM range is manufactured in
The iXH series of dry pumps will be represented by the iXH4550HT model. The iXH range of harsh-duty dry pumps is designed for difficult processes where particulate, condensable or corrosive by-products are present. They are able to handle the rigours of demanding semiconductor, FPD, solar PV, and LED manufacturing with outstanding efficiency and economy. They offer significant cost of ownership benefits due to their reliability and extended service intervals.
From the iXL family, the iXL200 and iXL500Q will be on display. iXL light-duty dry pumps are compact, energy-efficient vacuum pumps designed for clean applications. They provide fast pump down of load lock chambers with low energy consumption and a small footprint.
Also on show will be the STP-iX3006C and STP-iXA4506 pumps. The STP magnetically levitated turbomolecular pumps utilise a multi-axis magnetic bearing system to suspend the rotor during operation, ensuring there is no risk of contamination, while minimising vibration, noise and maintenance. The STP pumps can operate throughout a wide range of large volume, high-flow applications and processes including semiconductor, FPD, LED and solar manufacturing.
