Second City Communications Adds New Staff As Demand Surges For Its Unique Services in Content Marketing, Blended Learning, Internal Communications and Meetings & Events By a News Reporter-Staff News Editor at Marketing Weekly News -- Second City Communications (SCC), the business solutions division of the world-renowned comedy theatre, The Second City , is adding new staff to meet strong demand for it's unique client services. Now in its 17th year, Second City Communications currently handles more 400-client engagements annually with a broad mix of services in blended learning, internal communications, ethics and compliance training, content marketing and meetings & events. "We're just coming off our best year yet and it's exciting to see blue chip clients in all sorts of categories responding to our fresh approach to communications and training," said Tom Yorton , CEO of Second City Communications . "As we continue to grow and expand our client offerings, we're pleased to add new talent to our content marketing, marketing strategy, creative services, and sales teams. It's really gratifying to bring in good people in such a tough jobs climate," Yorton added. New staff additions at Second City Communications include: Mark Burns in the role of creative project manager on the creative services team. Burns comes to SCC from his previous positions as senior account manager and business analyst at The Onion. Burns' expertise includes sales, project management, and content execution. Emily Chapman joins SCC as account director for SCC's rapidly growing content marketing business. Prior to joining SCC, Chapman was a national account executive with The Onion where she specialized in managing client relationships and content solutions for dozens of national clients. Other new SCC team members include Raj Desai as account manager with a specific focus on the technology and finance verticals. Desai brings extensive experience in B2B software business development, sales, and client solutions. Also joining SCC is Mark Puplava in the role of marketing manager. Puplava is a marketing strategist who specializes in driving brand awareness and customer engagement. He joins SCC from a previous position at Plymouth Tube Company , where he led global B2B marketing efforts for the leading manufacturer of steel tubes. Additional new hires at SCC include Alanda Coon as executive assistant to the CEO, Catharine Savage as sales coordinator, and Haydee Souffrant , administrative assistant for the creative services team.
