Ponta said the measure to reschedule bank repayment rates is 'a beneficial measure in banking and economic terms, because on the one hand, that liquidity is made available to the banks, the citizens have more money to spend (...) and on the other it generates economic activity.'
The head of Government defined the fiscal credit to be granted after the two years of lowering rates as 'a type of aid instrument', but he denied the fact that lowering taxes for those being granted the fiscal credit would mean giving up to the 16 percent flat tax.
