Couple arrested in connection to stolen church credit card

Feb. 05 --A Webb couples faces more than a dozen felony charges in connection to the fraudulent use of a stolen credit card taken from a local church. According to a statement from Dothan Police Sgt. Maurice "Mac" Eggleston , police arrested Denise Marie Nelson Bostick , 31, and Christopher Gene Bostick , 28, both of Webb , earlier this week. Police charged Denise Bostick with 11 felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. Police charged Christopher Bostick with three felony counts of fraudulent use of a credit card. The charges stemmed from a credit card stolen from the One Accord Baptist Church in Newville after which it was apparently used to make multiple purchases at local businesses between Jan. 9 and Jan. 21 . The Dothan Police Department released photographs of the two people last week in an effort to try and identify them, and within hours they received numerous tips from the Crime Stoppers hotline identifying them as Christopher and Denise Bostick . Investigators questioned the couple on Monday and they admitted to using the stolen credit card. Denise Bostick was taken to the Houston County Jail and held on bail totaling $27,500 .
