BRIEF: Stock market goes down in first half hour of trading

Feb. 05 -- BUCHAREST -- The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower the trading session on Wednesday, all indices being on the red half hour after the trading debut. The BET index reflecting the developments in the 10 most liquid stocks decreased slightly by 0.02 percent, the BET-C general index having declined 0.18 percent, while the BET-FI index of the financial investment companies (SIFs) went down 0.23 percent. At the same time, the ROTX index was the only growing index, with 0.16 percent, and the blue-chip extended BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid stock lost 0.06 percent. The BET-NG index of the companies in the energy and utilities sector decreased 0.25 percent. In the aforementioned time interval, the BET-BK index, the investment funds weighted capitalization index, after significant oscillations in the first half hour of trading, was at the level registered in the session opening.
