In her new role, Reeves will be responsible for day-to-day operations. With her expertise and track record for identifying and leveraging burgeoning trends, she is expected to quickly scale textPlus by bringing its global user base and revenues to new heights, as well as usher in the next era of mobile communications.

The hiring is a reunion for Reeves and textPlus' co-founders

Prior to textPlus, Reeves joined Machinima, one of the largest online video networks (most recently funded by Google in 2012) as Chief Operating Officer where she was also responsible for the product development of Machinima's new digital distribution platform. Previously she was Chief Product & Strategy Officer for gaming technology company Gaikai, which sold to Sony for
