Feb. 04 --Classic rockers Styx and Foreigner will hit the road together for a tour dubbed the Soundtrack of Summer. It stops by Minneapolis' Target Center on July 17 . Tickets are $125 , $65 , $45 , $35 and $25 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday through Axs. Don Felder , former guitarist for the Eagles, will open the show. Formed by childhood friends in Chicago in the '60s, Styx scored a series of hits in the following decade, including "Lady," "Come Sail Away," "Fooling Yourself (The Angry Young Man)" and "Babe." Foreigner, led by British guitarist Mick Jones , ruled rock radio during the same era with songs like "Feels Like the First Time," "Cold as Ice," "Hot Blooded" and "Double Vision. " "The addition of Don Felder to the Soundtrack of Summer tour means that the combined sales of all three acts, as well as all the bands they were once members of, is well north of 200 million worldwide," Styx guitarist James Young said in a news release. Foreigner's Jones added: "As longtime friends, we're happy to join Styx and Don Felder ... our combined songs are some of America's favorite summer anthems and we're excited to be bringing them to our fans across the country." ___ (c)2014 the Pioneer Press (St. Paul, Minn.)
