BRIEF: Stock market opens lower on Monday

Feb. 03 -- BUCHAREST -- The Bucharest Stock Exchange (BVB) opened lower the trading session on Monday, all indices being on the red one hour and 20 minutes after the trading debut. The BET index reflecting the developments in the 10 most liquid stocks went down 1.31 percent, the BET-C general index having declined 0.85 percent, while the BET-FI index of the financial investment companies (SIFs) went down 1.20 percent. At the same time, the ROTX index slid 0.28 percent and the blue-chip extended BET-XT index of the 25 most liquid stock lost 1.32 percent. The BET-NG index of the companies in the energy and utilities sector decreased 1.22 percent. In the aforementioned time interval, the BET-BK index, the investment funds weighted capitalization index, lost 0.93 percent.
