Molex Bolsters Access to Its Free App to Smartphone Users

Molex Inc. said that it has expanded access to its free Molex App designed for Apple and Android devices.

Providing mobile users with information on over 90 different Molex product families, the Molex App allows tablet and now smartphone users to view product information, search products, view literature and view videos without being online, the Company noted in a release. App users with access to an internet connection can link to the Molex website for detailed product and order information.

"We received very positive feedback from customers and distribution partners, who appreciate the Molex App functionalities for users on the move," states Brian Krause, vice president, global marketing and communications, Molex. "With the rise in popularity of mobile devices, we are pleased to bring that same easy access to Molex products via smartphones."

Featuring enhanced screens with convenient layouts, Molex said that its App provides a richer and more tactile user experience. The Molex App enables easy navigation to browse products and narrow a search down to a product family. Overviews range from power to signal to I/O products. Tablet and smartphone users can explore product options and compare key features, save favorites to review later and email data, images and links.

"As a global company we are delighted to give customers all over the world anytime, anywhere access to Molex solutions right at their fingertips," adds Krause.

Molex has also developed a mobile friendly version of its website, with streamlined pages for faster, easier access. Visiting will automatically direct most smartphone users to the mobile site, which is designed to provide full functionality on a small screen. Or, users may visit for instant mobile access.

The Molex App is available for download onto iPad or Android tablets and smartphones.
