Feb. 27--Fort Myers-based retailer Chico's FAS Inc. saw its profits fall in the fourth quarter.
The company reported adjusted net income of $5.9 million, down from $32.7 million a year ago. The adjusted results exclude the impact of tax charges related to its purchase of Boston Proper, and other acquisition and integration costs. Including those costs, the company reported a fourth quarter loss of about $348,000, compared to profits of $31.5 million, or 19 cents a share a year ago.
The company will hold a conference call this morning on its earnings.
