Raiffeisen Bank Romania to issue RON 500mn bond

Raiffeisen Bank Romania plans to issue RON 500mn [EUR 110mn] bond with a maturity of up to five years, Ziarul Financiar daily announced, quoting bank officials.

The bank's shareholders will discuss this option on March 28. The bonds might be floated on the local or a foreign stock exchange.

In July 2013, Raiffeisen Bank Romania issued a RON 225mn [EUR 51mn] bond with a maturity of three years. The issue was sold to institutional investors under a private placement. The bonds carried a 5.5% coupon.
