The chamber said the company plans to expand to at least five regional offices over the next five years.
The announcement comes as many lenders in Charlotte and elsewhere have been laying off mortgage staff in recent months as demand to refinance home loans has waned. At the same time, some lenders are looking to add certain mortgage positions, such as loan officers, in an effort to make more loans for home purchases.
