Greenway Acquires PeopleLYNK

February 27, 2014

Greenway, an information technology partner to healthcare providers, has announced its acquisition of PeopleLYNK, a patient engagement solution.

According to a release, PeopleLYNK promotes patient engagement in cooperation with PrimeSUITE, Greenway's integrated practice management and electronic health record offering. Based on criteria in PrimeSUITE established by the provider organization, PeopleLYNK automates certain interactions with patients, including reminders, lab results, prescription notifications, clinical alerts and other communications. PeopleLYNK's capabilities are intended to be made available to all Greenway customers over time.

Patient engagement contributes to improved population health and patient satisfaction, and is a goal of meaningful use Stage 2. By adding PeopleLYNK to its portfolio of solutions, Greenway better enables healthcare professionals to improve population health outcomes and meet the goals of meaningful use while enabling patients to play an active role in their own healthcare.

"Patient engagement is key to creating a smarter healthcare system, one in which patients are more actively involved in the healthcare decisions that affect them and their family members," said Tee Green, chief executive officer of Greenway. "Our organizations are making it possible for patients to become consumers of healthcare, and we continue to develop innovative solutions for the professionals who deliver those services."

"Our solutions make it possible for healthcare consumers to more effectively engage in a relationship with physicians, and for providers to meaningfully reach out to their patients in ways that will improve the quality of care," said Rob White, chief executive officer and founder of PeopleLYNK. "It's becoming increasingly important for healthcare providers to reach out to proactively manage the health of their patient populations. Our tools, coupled with the clinical data contained in PrimeSUITE, will make it easier for providers and patients to coordinate the management of their healthcare."

Terms of the transaction were not announced.

PeopleLYNK provides a patent-pending relationship management solution focused on automated content distribution triggered by workflow events in existing software and disseminated across preferred delivery methods such as text, email, secure email and voice calls.

Greenway delivers the clinical, financial and administrative solutions healthcare providers need to effectively manage the delivery of quality care and improve health outcomes for patient populations.
